The beauty of the french ladies

To me, a Parisienne is the epitome of eternal grace, pure elegance and vibrant yet discreet beauty. Having grown up with the french cinema, I always admired the french actresses for their impeccable sense of style.
Ever since I had the honor to live in Paris and observe their divine charme, I came to the conclusion that this notorious elegance runs in their blood.
To me, these actresses are the most mythical représentates of what I consider parisian chic.

The impeccable Anouk Aimée. "Une femme et un homme" of Claude Lelouch is a must-see if you enjoy excellent classic french cinema.

The incomparable Catherine Deneuve. Watch "Belle du Jour", "8 Femmes" and "Les parapluies de Cherbourg" and you will fall in love.

The divine Audrey Tautou, most famous for "Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain" and "Coco avant Chanel".

The marvelous Marion Cotillard, whose performace in "La vie en rose" was honoured with an Academy Award.

Elizabete Art

I am absolutely smitten by this Latvian artist who has a passion for ballerinas. She considers ballet dancers angels, who symbolize feminine grace and elegance.
Please check out her art at http://www.elizabeteart.com/! I MUST have one of those!

La chaise

A beautiful chair can be an ideal accessory in a simply decorated space. I adore extravagant colors and patterns that work as an unexpected eye catcher of the room. I found these on some of my favorite decorator sites online. Hard to choose!!!

More delicious

We loooooove good food. What we love more, is organic, beautifully packaged food which looks festive and appealing. Consider me a marketing victim, but packaging is the way to communicate with the shopper and I am a firm believer that this communication goes far beyond nutritional information. Today's consumers and shoppers are unfaithful, spoiled and saturated. The way to reach out is through a clever emotional appeal. This is why I love these intelligently and strategically developed brands and concepts - they really touch your soul - and tummy!
Bon appétit!

Mymuesli is a genious concept which is about creating your own muesli online and getting it per mail!
Check them out at http://www.mymuesli.de/

Lov organic is a subbrand of Kusmi and is another great type of tea

Well, macarons need not be introduced. I still procrastinate trying to bake them myself, but one day I will and you will find out here!

Evian undertakes regular creative collaborations with different artists. This one stems from cooperation with Issey Miyake and can be found at colette - where else.

This one ...well this one's for the soul. Sigh.

Delicious clutches

Although I do not own too many of them - I still fear that I do not really know how to hold them in a carefree/elegant kind of way, (plus my bag is a notorious permanent mess)- I do believe in clutches as the most elegant and classy types of bags. I found these recently online and wanted to share!

The ballerina

Sticking to the theme of footwear, I simply have to report about the little princess of all shoes.
I must admit, I did not always admire her. When my mother started collecting these utterly adorable, always amazingly comfortable and highly versatile little ladies, I considered her old-fashioned. It was not until 4-5 years ago that I finally came to appreciate the sophistication and elegance of the ballerina.
When in doubt about what to wear as an accompaniment to your outfit - to the office, to a party, to a lunch, for a run downtown or on vacation - the ballerina is always the right choice. She will be your loyal, quiet and good-looking partner, never letting you down even after a long working day or a busy day outside.
Let me introduce you to the list of my favorites. Oh là là!

These little beauties were found on www.asos.com

Pretty ballerinas never cease to impress me. Their choice combined with affordability is fabulous.

Since Catherine Deneuve wore hers in "Belle do Jour", these are considered classic. No wonder.

Tod' is always a great choice. Their comfort and quality are exceptional.

As already reported, Unuetzer's recent colorful collections are a must-have for any lady.

Zara offers affordable and always stylish ballet flats - this year in great bright colors.

Just like Roger Vivier, Ferragamo's Varina has become famous thanks to a true style icon- Audrey Hepburn.

Finally, Marni offers a beautiful ballerina with bows - on both ends! AAAH

Summer colors from Unuetzer

Loving this summery darling ballerinas from Unuetzer. The colorful elements make these cuties suitable for any occasion - combined with black pants and a blouse in the office; lunch in a light breezy dress; cocktails in the evening in jeans and a blazer à la 1980s. Want, need, must have! NOW.
