Hammocks & High Tea

The beautiful thing about internet is its endlessness of possibilities and discoveries. I wish I had so much more time to read about wonderful things online - but this little blog of mine is just a hobby next to a full-time job in an industry & function - far - far away from the things I write about here. However, once in a while, when I am in good spirits and not distracted, I get to read and learn about some new brands of which I have never heard. Like this one - Hammocks & High Tea, who specialize on eco-friendly textiles. One of my absoloute favorites are their reversable clutches - I L-O-V-E that darling lining!

Winter remedy

I don't know about you, but I seem to enjoy winter temperatures up until the holiday season ONLY. I love , when it gets a bit frosty and windy and the first snow of the year is always so exciting and often a bit melancholic. There is some sort of peacefullness and sadness about a snowy paysage - don't you find it just so calm and still?
Well, on another note, if it were for me, I would prefer the spring to welcome us with mild temperatures right after the New Year's. Unfortunately, the climate I live in does not allow for that. Instead, it's rainy, windy and just uncomfortable. The implications of this meteorologic condition are numerous - especially in the beauty department.
This is why I am sharing my current three favorites, when it comes to some of the most common symptoms, among us, girls.

1) Dry & sensitive hand skin.

I personally hate dry hands - they just make you so uncomfortable and wearing all those gloves does not help. My recent salvation is this rich yet surprisingly rapidly absorbing Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm of Aesop - helps my hands in a very efficient way!

2) Dry & chapped lips.

Another classic one. Who does not suffer from that during winter months? Being a big lover of Diptique, my most favorite Parisian brand, I was thrilled to find this new Soothing lip balm during a recent stroll in Brussels. It makes your lips all soft and velvety! Yummy!

3) Finally - the hair.

Let's be honest, those cute little hats do help our hair to deal with damage from cold temperatures, but they do not make it pretty underneath. To prevent your hair from those frustrating moments of being statically charged or volume- and gloss-less, I highly recommend this newly discovered styling product from Shu Uemura - Liquid Fabric Mineral Texture Spray, which gives even my fine hair plenty of volume!

Winter, we are ready!

TASCHEN

I have previously proclaimed my infatuation with TASCHEN's books HERE. I simply love their illustrations and they always pick the most stylish spots.
Well, now in addition to the glamorous coffee table city guides, TASCHEN has published a selection of miniature ones - for my all-time favorite cities of Berlin, New York, London and Paris! The set includes 12 books in total, with the overall guide being divided into a shop, restaurant and hotel sections per metropole.
Isn't this just the perfect gift for any upcoming holiday for someone who wants to travel en vogue?!

Shoegirl

It's New Year, ladies. Time to conquer it with new accomplishments - in style, naturally. These charming little ballerinas are not only comfortable - they come in two color combinations which are both hard to resist!

Taupe/beige and black is an absolute classic - perfect with a pair of black skinny jeans and a blouse. The coral and grey alternative, however, is just as darling and can be a perfect match to a plain grey summer dress!

Well, for 36 Euro, I can only imagine that this choice is not such a tough one, after all. I want them both.

For all you, heel-lovers, they come in a more dressed up version as a pump. Just as lovely!

Spotted in shoe heaven :)
